Deacon's Board
MINISTRY PURPOSE: The purpose of the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church Deacon Ministry is to serve the Lord and His church by assisting the Pastor in meeting the spiritual needs of the Church in caring for the poor, the sick and the bereaved; preparation and administration of the ordinances; service of communion and baptism.
MINISTRY STATEMENT: The deacons are active at all worship services, including bible study and prayer. They are expected to lead by example. They personally assist the pastor in ministering to the spiritual needs of the congregation and are prayer warriors for the pastor, church and congregation. Shiloh’s deacons are ordained to visit the sick, pray with them and bring hope through Jesus Christ, our Lord. They comfort bereaved families and minister to the needs of the Pastor and his family. They are assigned to teach bible study, new members’ and evangelism classes.
The deacons of Shiloh are servants of the Lord.
